Resident District Manager, Amy Dugan

Our Resident District Manager, Amy Dugan began at UIndy in 2019. Amy has a passion for higher education and has worked in leadership at University of Indianapolis and Loyola University Chicago. She has worked in contract food management for 16 years across Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana and earned her Bachelors degree in Communications from Wright State University. Amy is honored to be a part of the UIndy community, and so excited to continue to build our dining program and relationships on campus.  Her favorite parts of this job are being able to interact with the UIndy community, and leading the dining team to enhance the overall UIndy experience.

Director of Operations, Philip Zernia

Philip Zernia is our Director of Operations and began at UIndy in 2023. Philip oversees the front of house operations, including Ober Dining Hall, Greyhound Express, all The Perk coffee shops, and Streets Food Court. He has a background of 4 years in higher education leadership and graduated from Michigan State University in Hospitality business. While Philip is not at work, he loves spending time with his dog, Lexi, watching sports on tv, going out to eat, trying new foods, and traveling!

Catering Director, Jacob Schuller

Our Catering Director, Jacob Schuller began at UIndy Dining in 2023. Jacob oversees our catering, conference, summer camp, and concessions programs. As a Ball State graduate with degrees in Human Resource Management and Business Administration, Jacob prides himself on his strong leadership and communication skills in the catering industry. He has a wealth of catering knowledge, including experience in banquets and catering at the Indiana Convention Center. Jacob is passionate, organized, and enthusiastic about forming quality connections here at the University of Indianapolis.

Executive Chef, Taylor Hignite

Taylor Hignite is our Executive Chef and is originally from Indianapolis, but his love of cooking has taken him around the United States. He comes from a background of fine dining, high volume catering, private chef services, Greek life dining, and nearly every culinary outlet available. Taylor’s personal favorites are rolling sushi, smoking barbecued meats, preparing seafood, and he is a ramen fanatic. At home, he is a super geeky girl-dad who loves everything from Disney to anime and experimenting in the kitchen. His passion for food is what brings him here to UIndy with goals of leading a dining program everyone can be excited about.
